The BearingPoint Financial Services practice is currently searching for Senior Java Architect/Lead Developers with software package implementation experience. Projects will involve implementing Guidewire ClaimCenter or PolicyCenter solutions.

Location: Chicago, New York, Virginia, or other major east coast locations

Performance Profile:

• Involved in full life cycle development in distributed environment using Java.

• Develops and maintains the system components using Java; using JDK for development of components; implementing JSP pages for server side filing of web application.

• Implements OO techniques such as UML methodology (use cases, sequence diagrams and activity diagrams) and developing class diagrams using Rational Rose.

• Implements security for web application using servlets used also for updates and modification.

Position-specific Requirements:

• 7+ years of experience in the field of software development using Java, JSP, JDBC, XML, UML, API’s, Javascript (or other scripting language)

• 2+ years team leadership or project leadership

• Project experience implementing Guidewire ClaimCenter or PolicyCenter solutions at any point in the development lifecycle, or other related insurance application

• Experience with at least 1 package implementation

• Previous Consulting experience mandatory
