Description Position Summary:
Merchandise Mart Properties, Inc. currently seeks a Cold-Fusion Web Developer

Responsibilities Include:
• ColdFusion web software design, development and support of multiple applications in the Marketing Communcations Web Department
• Work with the Marketing Communcations team to understand the business requirements and functional specifications of all applications
• Analyze, determine, and utilize creative problem solving abilities in approaching web software development tasks to meet deadlines and reach departmental goals
• Framework code development and unit testing
• Work with Web Manager and Account Executives for project planning, time/cost estimation, requirements documentation, technical specifications documentation, and status reporting of all web application development projects
• Work with IT Department to keep ColdFusion server environment up-to-date with releases and patches, advise server administrators by making configuration recommendations.
• Eliminate outdated or deprecated code through regular code review and syntax updates
• Develop and maintain all MS SQL Server 2005 databases used for web applications, work on upgrading database systems to improve and manage relational data integrity as well as improve security
• Assist and advise Web Design & Production team with integration of dynamic ColdFusion integration into site template archictecture during the development of all new MMPI Web sites
• Maintain regular documenation of ColdFusion and Database programming standards, review and revise documentation regularly as needed
• Manage and oversee other ColdFusion developers brought in to assist with projects, review code to ensure proper programming standards are followed for consistency
